Training Activities

Didactic activities

The doctoral training offer is broad and diversified. The training events take place in the Seminar Room on the first floor of the Biological Tower, in English (in specific cases, they may be held on IT platforms such as ZOOM or MS Teams). Doctoral students must acquire 180 CFU in three years (on average 60 CFU/year, 1 CFU/25 hours of activity), divided as follows:

Doctoral Students' Data Club

Periodically, PhD students in the 2nd and 3rd year of the course present the results of their research project to their colleagues. Participation is considered mandatory.

Thematic courses

These are courses on specific topics of interest for the PhD course held by researchers/teachers of the Department or other institutions. They are open to participation by all doctoral students. Participation is considered mandatory.

Guest speakers lecture

Researchers from prestigious national or international research institutions present a specific topic of interest for the scientific topics of the course in approximately 60 minutes

Department seminars

Doctoral students participate in seminars organized by the Department and possibly in other seminars organized in the metropolitan area relevant to their training path.

English courses

Manuscript writing

It is a course reserved for students enrolled in the first year of the doctorate. It aims to train the writing of scientific works.

Scientific presentation (How to design)

It is a course that aims to improve the ability to present the results of scientific research by examining both the method of constructing a multimedia file and oral presentation.

Language fluency

It is a course open to doctoral students of all cycles. It aims to improve verbal linguistic ability, with particular reference to biomedical terminology.
