General Info
WHAT IS THE THIRD MISSION?
Third Mission refers to the set of activities through which Universities enter into direct interaction with society, alongside the traditional missions of teaching (first mission, in which the main interaction is with students) and research (second mission, in which the main interaction is with the scientific community). The term Third Mission refers therefore to the set of activities of scientific, technological and cultural transfer, and productive transformation of knowledge, through which Universities and Departments activate processes of direct interaction with civil society and the business community, with the aim of promoting economic and social growth of the territory, so that knowledge becomes instrumental in obtaining economic, social and cultural benefits.
