Researchers' Night 2019 - "m'illumina la scienza".

Researchers' Night is a science dissemination event open to all, conceived by researchers from the Department of Molecular Medicine and Medical Biotechnology and organized in collaboration with the School of Medicine. The event, called "m'illumina la scienza", has been organized in packages of short communications, 'pills' of science, art, culture.

A real science show, a celebration of research.

For the occasion, the facade of the Biological Tower was illuminated (see photo). The main theme was that of the great scientific discoveries in the biomedical field, told by teachers of the School of Medicine in the form of dynamic presentations, designed and organized to 'amaze' the listener, enriched with films and images and, above all, enthusiasm. The scientific communications alternated with short musical pieces to which teachers and researchers of the School of Medicine and Surgery also contributed.

Stupor Scientiae is a science outreach activity developed and implemented by DMMBM with the involvement of a large part of the Department. This activity is carried out in two phases: in the first one, students and researchers proceed to the presentation and discussion of relevant scientific discoveries in the biomedical field, focusing on innovative ideas and cutting-edge technologies; in the second one, the students participate to exemplary experiments that are proposed and prepared by young researchers. The aim is to offer for a few hours the exciting experience of laboratory life.

The activity has been suspended in 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
