Sindrome di Down

V National Scientific Conference 'Down syndrome: from diagnosis to therapy'

The V National Scientific Conference "Down syndrome: from diagnosis to therapy" will be held online, on a Zoom platform, on October 15 and 16, 2021. This Conference is the most significant appointment in Italy to discuss about Down syndrome and it is organized by the DS Task Force, a group of Italian researchers interested in promoting suitable activities to improve the quality of life of Down syndrome people. The Department of Molecular Medicine and Medical Biotechnology, the School of Medicine and Surgery and the Federico II University Hospital are involved in the organization of the Conference.

Also this year there will be a session in English, open to the international scientific community and organized, under the auspices of the International Society T21RS, with the collaboration of excellent European scientists. This is an international window of a national conference to emphasize the relevance of cooperation without frontiers in all fields of scientific research.

The Conference is primarily organized on the basis of scientific contributions (abstracts) received from participants by September 15, 2021, and will also include a meeting between researchers, associations and family members of Down syndrome persons to improve synergy in research activities in Down syndrome.

It is hoped that students, staff in training and, especially for the most divulgative sessions, associations and relatives of people with Down syndrome will participate in the Conference.

The Conference is free and open to all. However, registration is required by September 30, 2021 through the website that can be also used to submit abstracts:
